Here is the cake pre-assembled/microwaved:
It was SO easy to mix together. I only made half of the recipe, because there was no one to share it with... and I wanted to still feel slightly virtuous ;)
Here it is cooking...
And three minutes later, the finished product!!
It was sooo yummy! I didn't have any chocolate chips, but that would have made it even more scrumptious. But being the peanut butter junkie I am (and per my husband's suggestion) I dipped my fork in peanut butter before I took a bite. SO good :) :)

wow i would have never though to bake a cake in the microwave. very smart amy. i would like to know how to do this! david is not a chocolate cake person like me, and i find myself wanting cake a lot! this would be perfect!
Mmmm...I've always resorted to brownies because they're so much easier to make than cake, but now I think I may be able to get my true chocolate cake fix! Thanks!

Vanessa-- Do you make your brownies and cakes from scratch?! If you do... you're my hero. The only cakes I make from scratch are microwaved ones. And I wouldn't mind at all if you added me :)
